My work ethic is deeply ingrained in me, and I owe it all to my parents. Growing up in Southeast San Diego wasn’t easy; we lived in a one-bedroom apartment, struggling to make ends meet. With two older siblings and parents working tirelessly to keep us afloat, I learned the value of hard work from a young age.

The story behind my mission is actually quite amusing, filled with moments of self-discovery and personal growth. It all started with my famous slogan, “you are perfectly imperfect,” which has become the guiding principle of my life. However, there was a time when this mantra was far from my reality. Picture me in middle school, riddled with insecurities about my body. Like most adolescents, I was going through significant changes, both physically and emotionally. But instead of embracing them, I felt an overwhelming sense of shame.

In the world of photography, there is something captivating about freezing a moment in time and immortalizing it through the lens of a camera. But beyond the technicalities, settings, and lighting, what truly inspires me goes far deeper. It is the ability to recognize the beauty that people possess, even when they don’t see it in themselves. Every individual carries a unique radiance, an iridescent glow that glimmers beneath the surface. Often obscured by self-doubt, societal expectations, or life’s burdens, this innate beauty remains untapped and overlooked. And it is precisely this hidden splendor that draws me in, compels me to bring it to light.
